Our Names are Adrian & Carole Woollard, we are the people behind Kiehtova Finnish Lapphunds. We live in the Macedon Ranges, a beautiful part of Victoria ,with plenty of space, fresh air and sometimes snow! We chose Kiehtova which in Finnish means intriguing, absorbing, spirited and eye catching which aptly describes this wonderful breed.
Our dogs are raised as part of the family and have adapted to our lifestyle which includes our kids, chickens and Mrs Claus the cat. They come away on holiday with us and engage in all the activites we do like camping, kayaking, bushwalking and 4 wheel driving. We participate in conformation showing and love combining this with weekends away exploring new places. Its all about having fun with our dogs be it in the show ring or as just part of the family.
We fell in love with the breed in 2011 when we first met Bear.
He reminded us so much of our first family dog Beama who was a spitz cross (sadly passing away at the good old age of 14).
We were lucky enough to be offered one of Bears offspring; Bera. We thank Terri and Steve of Taigakoira for this opportunity.
